Institutional Audit and Appraisal System

View

As a part of quality measures the college has developed a system of checking the adequacy of the infrastructure, the quality initiatives, the practices, the regularity in the functioning of the Departments and committees, the professionalism of the faculty and office staff. The college has a committed committee for Institutional Audit and Appraisal. The audits of various units are undertaken at different time periods. The weekly surveys ensure the adequacy of the facilities and the infrastructure such as canteen facility, water facility, reprographic and internet facility etc. The IQAC monitors the assessment system through timely guidance and instructions.

The PBSA (Performance Based Self Appraisal) is undertaken for review of the performance and for extending or continuing the staff welfare measures. The analysis helps the staff and the college to set new targets for better performance.

The practice of Staff Appraisal System by the students provides feedback to the faculty about the effectiveness of the teaching learning and assessment procedures. The timely interventions by way of interacting with the faculty by the Head of the Institution and the HoDs are some of developmental checks the institution has adopted

In the same lines the performance of the Departments and committees is assessed periodically and the result is shared during HoDs and committees chairmen meetings.

The IESAI (Institutional Education Standard Assessment Index) is an outcome based assessment system of the college. The report of the assessment is placed before the statutory body meetings and elaborately discussed. The Head of the Institution shall communicate to the individual Department/Faculty for undertaking steps to ensure the learning outcomes in the subjects.

The institution has a mechanism to assess the performance of the institution through AAA. Periodically the AAA is conducted and the observation of the audit committee is shared in the appropriate platform. The SSS (students Satisfaction Survey) also is undertaken to ensure the institution’s quality performance. (Click here for Reports)

The annual ‘Stock Verification’ is yet another regular practice to ensure the stock registers are updated and the augmentation of the infrastructural facilities. The committee involves the entire faculty in the process of stock verification.

Students Satisfaction Survey

In order to assess the satisfaction level of the students, the college has conducted a survey using the NAAC SSS format. The report given here shows the effectiveness of the institution in teaching and learning. The report has been circulated amongst faculty for reviewing and taking steps to improve the process of teaching and learning wherever necessary.
