SDM -Rotary Career Guidance & Placement (HRD) Centre

SDM – Rotary Career Guidance and Placement Cell is a joint project of Rotary Clubs of Jarvso and Ljusdal, Dist.2330, Sweden and Rotary Club of Belthangady, Dist.3180. The Centre had its inception on September 30, 1997 with Rtn. PDG. Dr. Narayan as the Chief Guest. It is the proud recipient of four Rotary Zonal Awards. The centre aims to create career awareness through skill enhancement and training programmes, Online Aptitude Tests, Online CV Preparation and Software Based Career Counseling and Guidance. It has introduced Aptitude Training, Communicative English Training and Advanced MS Excel Training programmes to fulfill the finishing school needs of the students and meet the exceptions of the job market. All these have resulted in thousands of students being placed in major companies in India and abroad .

Nearly 50 reputed companies from various sectors have recruited more than 1000 students during the last four years. The center conducts the Campus Recruitment Drive inviting the students from the colleges in and around Dakshina Kannada district. The following table illustrates the results of these drives.
