Department of Journalism

Established in 1986

Keeping the growing demand for creative and competent talent in the fast growing media industry in mind, the Department offers a Journalism as a subject in the three year B A Programme. It imparts strong theoretical base and provides practical knowledge with a very well established studio, a community radio and publication of in house practice journals.

Association & Activities

Srujana one of the club activity in Journalism department. It was started in the year 2014. In this activity forum Weekly Roundup, Debate, Current Affair Analysis, Quiz,Headline Writing Competitions, Group Discussions, Writing Skill Discussions, Guest Lectures, Alumni Interactions, Creative Productions and other activities can conducted by this forum.

MoU

The department has signed an MoU with Manipal Digital Network Private Limited, Manipal to extend mutual co-operation in providing a platform to the students of the college by transmitting news items / articles created by the students in MDNL’s Digital platforms(20-02-2018)
