Established in 1966

The objective of the department is to provide quality education for professional careers in Commerce and Management. One of the first departments established by the college, offers B Com programme since its inception. The programme provides a strong foundation for the future professionals such as Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Business Executives, Academicians and Entrepreneurs. Learner centred activities such as projects, group discussions, and presentations, quizzes and communicative sessions make the learning effective and yet blissful. The department motivates the students to clear CPT and provides Taxation as an area of specialisation.

Academic

  • The B.Com. program provides a strong foundation for the future professionals such as chartered accountants, company secretaries, business executives, academicians and entrepreneurs. The vast array of networked alumni has created a global presence for the last 5 decades.
  • Learner centred academic activities like Student Research projects, group discussions, presentations, quiz, interactive communicative sessions and mock tests conducted through commerce campus contributed for the focused learning to reach the professional destinations. The core courses offered includes financial accounting, cost and management accounting, financial management, direct taxes, GST and customs duty, marketing management, strategic management, organisational behavior, human resource management, business law and auditing spread over 6 semesters with languages, quantitative techniques and economics.

Association & Activities

  • Commerce Campus Association, a place where the students aim at overall personality development. This is where the students develop leadership qualities, wisdom, job orientation skills and a lot more. This encourages the youth to participate in fests held in other colleges, engage in activities to strengthen their skills and improve for the betterment.
  • It is quite essential for them, who are able to use their tactics and withstand the obstacles in the corporate world.
  • Activities included are Commerce Fests, Debate, Discussions, Budget Analysis competitions, Trainings and many more. The objective of the Association is to encourage the students to stand for the challenges in the current business scenario and build self- confidence.
  • After all the tagline says ” Be the best version of you.” CCA is all about standing on your feet and becoming the best version of yourself and for the company.
