On 29-08-2019 Department of English had organized the screening of documentary “Walking with wolves” and interaction with environmentalists Kripakar and Senani, winner of Green Oscar awards for “The Pack”. S.S.Sunil, an evolutionary biologist who is the wildlife warden at Nagarahole Abhayaranya was also present.
” Living with nature and protecting our environment is necessary. Literature becomes one such medium through which we can discover varieties of culture of living” said Senani. They also spoke about the documentary screened, its making and the research. In the interaction session students from various streams raised serious questions with the dignitaries. The dignitaries were also asked to share their personal experience in their journey as environmentalists.
Prof.Sathishchandra.S, Principal of the college and Dr. K.Shankarayanarayana, head of the department of English were also present. Mr.Koustubha H Simha of III BA was master of the ceremony. Mr. Shafwan V, Assistant Professor in English, welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests to the audience. Ms.Rashmi Yadav of II BA delivered vote of thanks.
