PG Department of Chemistry inaugurated the Departmental Association – CONCHEM (Consortium of Chemists) on 30 August 2019. Prof. S. Satheeshchandra, Principal, SDM College (Autonomous), Ujire, inaugurated the programme. Cancer is a burning issue and, as the students of Chemistry are in touch with Pharmaceutical Chemistry, he urged all the students to focus on research related to Cancer Therapy, in his inaugural speech. He congratulated the activities conducted by the PG Department of Chemistry during the academic year 2018-19.
Dr. Darshak R. Trivedi, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, NITK Surathkal was the Chief Guest of the function and he insisted students to inculcate values like being punctual and polite in their life, in his key note address.
Dr. Vishwanatha P., Head, Department of Chemistry gave his presidential remark and Mr. Naveen Kumar, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry and Secretary, CONCHEM proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Nefisath P., Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry read out academic annual report (2018-19) of the Department. Ms. Chaithrika S. Bhat and Mr. Vineeth G. Gonsalves of II M.Sc. Chemistry mastered the ceremony.
