12 June 2023: with high spirits and enthusiasm Department of social work organised the two days workshop on child rights, various activities were conducted during the workshop and more than 50 students participated in this workshop.
The inaugurator of this programme was smt.Manorama Bhat GV, consultant press alternative, Tokyo, Japan. She mentioned about the criteria required for the overall development of the children, situation of the children, the need for awareness about the child rights.
The presidential address was given by Dr. B Kumar hegde, principal SDM College ujire. He addressed that knowing about child right is very important for each and everyone.
Nagamani C, training expert from child right trust Bangalore was the chief guest of the programme and also the resource person for the two days workshop. In Child Right Workshop, she gave broad knowledge about child rights and its importance through various activities.
In the programme, Head of the social work Department Dr. Ravishankar was present. Dr. Akshatha K, Assistant professor did the welcome speech, Master of the ceremonial was done by Medha Hegde from I MSW, and the programme was saluted by Ammu S from I MSW.
