UG Department of physics in association with IQAC conducted a state level webinar on 25-7-2020 on the topic COMET NEOWISE .DR A P Bhat, retired Principal Poorna prajna college, Udupi was the resource person. Over 130 participants from different colleges of Karnataka attended the webinar.
Dr A P Bhat explained about origin, periodic motion,elliptical path and different parts of the comets. Comets are having long elliptical orbits and they take long duration to take a round around the sun. Neowise comet comes once in nearly 7000 yrs, he added. Programme ended with with interactive session. Mr S N Kakathkar welcomed the participants, Ms Rashmi introduced the guest and Dr Shankarnarayan proposed vote of thanks.
