The orientation to the newly joined staff in the college at Undergraduate and Post graduate section was held on 11th February 2021 at 10:30 a.m in Audio-Visual room 1. The programme was jointly organized by the IQAC and Faculty Development Committee of the College.
The Staff Association Secretary and Co-ordinator of Faculty Development Committee, Sri G.R. Bhat welcomed the Principal Dr. S. Satheeshchandra, the Registrar Dr.B.P. Sampath Kumar and the Dean, PG Studies Dr. P Vishwanath.
Dr. S. Satheeshchandra, the Principal, addressing the staff, spoke on the overall vision and expectations of the institution. He presented the staff about the campus, facilities and opportunities in the College.
Dr.B.P. Sampath Kumar, the registrar deliberated on the responsibilities of the faculty. He also spoke on autonomous system of the college. Dr. Vishwanath gave hints about professionalism and the ethics in the teaching profession. Dr.A. Jayakumar Shetty, Dean of Arts shared the views on SDM ethos and the values that the institution posters and the accountability of each faculty in the college.
The programme concluded at 1:00 p.m. with vote of thanks by the Co-ordinator. There were 13 newly joined staff in the orientation. (21841)
