Workshop on “Detection of adulterants in food stuff”

Department of chemistry organized a workshop on “Detection of adulterants in food stuff” on 31.8.2023 to students of S.D.M.English medium school (CBSE). Final year B.Sc students demonstrated how to detect the adulterants in food stuffs like honey, milk, curd, ghee, oil. Mr Sathvik and MS. Vedamatha, III B.Sc spoke on the food adulteration and its side effects. The main objective of the workshop is to popularize the chemistry among the school students. Mrs.Sangeetha.B, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry co-ordinated the programme.
