“Social media identity, in today’s world, is just as important as the real identity of a person. A lot of organizations and even people prefer to gain impressions of people through their social media profile. Which is why, it is a vital skill to create and sustain a profile that can grab anyone’s attention and create a lasting impression online”, said Mr. Kiran Shenoy, an entrepreneur and digital media expert from Mangalore. He was addressing the students of B.Vocational in Digital Media and Film Making, SDM College Ujire, at a social media profiling workshop.
“As opposed to any other forms of creating an impression, social media is extremely easy. There are simple rules such as creating impressive bios, uploading standard pictures and maintaining consistency in posts that can be followed to accomplish you goal of a good profile. Also, social media itself provides you ample feedback and suggestions to make your profile or commercial page better”, he added. Kiran Shenoy also shared a few pro tips that can give the students an upper edge on social media. The interactive session was attended by 20 students of B.Voc and its faculty. B.Vocational courses at SDM College Ujire are newly introduced professional courses sponsored by the UGC.
