A special guest lecture was arranged by the department of Physics on ECLIPSES TRUTH AND MYTH. Resource person and Eminent astronomist Prof Ramesh Bhat Principal Sri Mahaveer PU College Modabidre explained about the truth and myths about the eclipses with video clippings and demonstrations. Eclipses are the natural happenings in nature due to Relative motions of planets in the universe and not due the swalowing of moon or sun by rahu and ketu. He added. In view of forth coming solar eclipse, he informed about dos and donts during the occasion.he urged the students to watch the forthcoming solar eclipse with suitable safety measures and procedures, which will be a very rare phenomenon in this region.
