“Crime against women has always been on the rise in the society. It is high time such discrepancy is resolved in the country”, said the President of Law Committee of Belthangady and Senior Civil Advocate Nagesh Murthy BK.
He was addressing the students of SDM College Ujire at the special talk organized in joint association by the Women’s Cell of the college, Law Commission of Belthangady and Bar Council. The talk was regarding prevention of atrocities against women.
Senior Advocate from Belthangady, Swarnalatha, who was the Chief Guest of the event said “Law of the land is commendably efficient today, but not enough to bring the crime rate to zero. Law alone cannot bring change, we all must strive for it.”
Students and faculty of SDM College Ujire were present at the event.
