"Voting is the right of every citizen and it is essential for the development of the country and the selection of good leaders," said Nataraj H.K., Professor of Political Science at SDM College Ujire.
He was speaking at a National Voters’ Day program organized by the Department of Political Science at the college recently. He called upon young voters to help the country move forward on the right path by choosing good candidates irrespective of party lines.
The students were administered the National Voters’ Day pledge. Dr. Shaliep A.P., Head of the Department of Political Science, Lecturer Bhagyashree, and students of the department were present. Students Kirthana welcomed the gathering and Ritika proposed the vote of thanks.
