A Constitution Awareness Rally was held at SDM Autonomous College in Ujire, rally was organized in association with the Department of Social Welfare of Karnataka. Tarakesari, Block Education Officer, Belthangady, administered the oath to the students. A street play on the ideals of the Constitution was performed by the Karavali Janapada Kalaavedike Mangalore troupe.
Hemanchandra, Assistant Director of the Social Welfare Department, Belthangady taluk, spoke on the occasion. Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, Principal of the College, who spoke in the introductory address, said that the Constitution of India is the supreme Constitution and it is necessary for every citizen to know about it, about their rights and duties. The rally was attended by students, staff, and members of the public.
