Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, Principal of SDM College, emphasized the importance of enhancing practical skills through competitive events during the inauguration of "Ventura – 2024," the Commerce and Business Fest organized by the Commerce and Management Association of the college.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde highlighted the significant role played by inter-college competitions in fostering competence based on the curriculum of commerce education. He stressed the need for students to actively participate in such programs to cultivate skills in communication, leadership, and efficient management. The event witnessed the participation of over 20 teams from more than 15 colleges across the state, demonstrating the enthusiasm and talent among students in the field of commerce and business management.
Dr. Ratnavathi K., Head of the Commerce Department, along with the event coordinators Vinuth D.M., Gururaj, and student representative Adarsh B.K., Suveeth Shetty, were present during the event. Dr. Shakuntala, Dean of the Commerce Department, and Shradha Holla, Head of the Business Administration Department, extended a warm welcome to the participants. Student representative Sharadhi Hollla expressed her gratitude, while the event was compered by Jeevan S.P. and Jayasurya.
