Dr. Shashiprabha, Assistant Professor and Dr. Nefisath P., Associate Professor of the Department of PG Studies and Research in Chemistry have been awarded a prestigious American patent for their research in month of May 2024. This marks that these faculty members of SDM College, Ujire have been granted an American patent, for the second time, a significant accomplishment for the institution. The research conducted by Dr. Nefisath P and Dr. Shashiprabha focused on “Oxoimidazolidine Derivatives as Anti-tubercular Agents”. The protection of the American patent secured for a period of 20 years in collaboration with King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, underscores the enduring impact of the specific research outcomes.
