The students of Political Science of SDM College Ujire were led on a field trip to the police station and local court as a part of their practical exposure.
They were familiarized, by the head constables of the station, about civil and criminal cases, A,B and C types of cases, FIRs and their procedures, registrations, court marriages and so on. The students were allowed free interaction with the deputed police and court authorities who answered every question. The students also witnessed a live court proceeding after which the Judge himself interacted with the group for an hour. Respected Sri Anand K, Principal, Civil Judge and Respected Sri Sathish K G, Additional civil judge, Mr. Kiran P P P, Sri Krishna Shenoy Secretary, Bar Association and Mrs. Swarnalatha, Senior Advocate interacted with students and cleared their doubts.
Fourty students and accompanying faculty took part in this field trip.
