The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication organised3-Day State level E- Workshop on Creating Website and Social Media Pages from March 25 to 27 2021. Speaking on the occasion, resource person Mr. Vasanth B Ishwaragere, Editor in Chief, kannadanewsnow.com said, “Have social media accounts setup, to understand how to make the most of each platform’’.
Dr. Sateeshchandra. S, Principal of the College inaugurated the session. In his inaugural address he noted that, intelligent and effective usage of social media is very prominent in the era of digital communication. The merits and demerits of social media go back front if users are aware of power of social networking sites.
Three days workshop included the sessions on YouTube Page creation, management and monetization, Face book community page creation, Content uploading, website designing, management and monetization. Dr. Bhaskar Hegde, HOD Department of JMC, Dr. Vishwanatha P, Dean, PG Studies were present. Mrs. Geetha A J, Assistant Professor, Department of JMC was the coordinator of the programme. There were 98 participants including journalists, academicians and students from all over the state.
