State-level seminar on National Education Policy – 2020

National Education Policy

Department of Post-Graduation Studies in English and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (Paramarsh) organized State-level seminar on National Education Policy – 2020 on 15th March 2021.  Dr. Shankaranarayana K, IQAC Coordinator and Head Department of English introduced the Seminar topic NEP- 2020 and briefed the relevance of it in the present scenario. Keynote speaker: Prof. Ravindra Kumar. B Chairperson PGDSR in Economics, Tumkur University, inaugurated the session and said – there is a need for the restructuring of Education Policy according to the needs of the new generation. The National Education Policy is at various stages of significant improvement in the education sector and the new dimension could take steps to the academic potential of the students.

Guest of Honour: Prof. Prashanth. H. Director, Prasaranga Kannada University, Hampi shared his view on New Education Policy – 2020 as Structural Guidelines, When policies are analyzed with a therapeutic perspective, people who are involved in various sectors of Education teachers, researchers, and educationalists should focus on the aspects of improvement of the present system. This would be a major step taken by the Educationalists to notice the radical essential change in the education policy. After this Dr. Satheeshchanda S, Principal of SDM College (Autonomous), Ujire encouraged the opinion of speakers by adding his vision – as gaining knowledge completely and utilizing it in the required situation would be more appropriate. Dr. A. Jayakumar Shetty, Dean, Humanities and HOD Economics, Dr. Vishwanatha P, Dean P.G. Studies and Dr. Manjushree. R Assistant Professor Department of P.G. Studies in English were present.

About 110 delegates participated in the seminar and 11 Research papers were presented in the Seminar among two were awarded as best papers. Papers were judged by Ms. Nefisath P., Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry and Dr. Padmanabha, Assistant Professor, Department of P.G Journalism. The session was moderated by Dr. Ganaraj Assistant Professor, Department of Economics and inaugurated the Department of P.G.
