The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college organized an educational intervention event on 7th, 8th and 16th June 2019. The training program titled FEEL Teacher, a human resource development program was initiated to involve the faculty of the college in exploring the possibilities of classroom effectiveness and the potential to be effective leaders at every interpersonal relationships in the campus. The lack of preparedness in verbal as well as other means of communication generally adversely affect the functioning of the institution. In the changed situation today where the diverse background of each learner is either crucial or obstructive and there is a need to understand the pupils of their emotional, intellectual, social and cultural system. The three days training had given the inputs to develop professionalism in teaching. The training program was inaugurated by Dr. Ashok Kumar, Principal SDM College of Technology Ujire who said that occasional and timely training interventions refresh the staff and provide proper orientations. The resource persons Prof. Sunney Tharappan, Director CLHRD , Prof Ananthapadmanabha, Bantwal and Prof. Radhkrishna, Manipal through plenty of printed materials and lot of activities trained the faculty. Prof S Satheeshchandra, Principal, Prof B Ganapayya, Dean of PG Studies and all the senior faculty participated in the inaugural session . The coordinators Dr. Shankaranarayan k and Prof SN Kakathkar arranged all the logistics and neatly monitored the program. The management support and guidance to empower the staff of the college has been always a cherished wish of the SDME society.
