The Kannada Studies Centre of Mysore VV and SDM College jointly organized a guest lecture on Dr. P R Tippeswamy on 23rd of July 2019. Dr. Sateeshchandra, the Principal of the college presided over this program.
Prof. K P Mahadev Shetty, Principal of Kalaniketan delivered the guest lecture and elaborated on how Dr. P R Tippeswamy was a folklore artist, a brilliant painter, and an enthusiastic antique conservator. Dr. Sampath Kumar, the HOD of Kannada Department of SDM College stated that Dr. D Veerendra Heggade was inspired by Dr. Tippeswamy’s collection, and took it to a new level in the form of Manjusha Antique Museum at Dharmasthala.
The Secretary of SDME Society, Dr. B Yashovarma was present at the occasion.
