31st July, 2023 (Monday): After a long & distinguished career of teaching & service for 36 years, Prof. Shanthiprakash (Vice Principal, Former Registrar (Examinations), Associate Professor & Head, Dept of Statistics, SDMCU) attained superannuation. In this regard, the SDM Staff Association had organized a farewell & felicitation program.
Dr. Satheeshchandra S. (Secretary, SDMES), Dr. B. A. Kumara Hegde (Principal, SDMCU), Mr. Pramod Kumar (Principal, SDMPUC) & Mr. Ganesh Nayak (Secretary, Staff Association & Head, Dept. of Mathematics, SDMCU) shared the dias alongwith Prof. Shanthiprakash. Deans of various streams, Registrars, HoDs & Staff members of SDM – PUC, UG & PG were in attendance.
Former & present colleagues reminisced & spoke with affection about his personality & contribution to the College & his Dept. Dr. Jayakumar Shetty, former Principal, Sri Ajoy Kombrabail & Dr. Sampath Kumar B. P., former Registrars, were also present.
Prof. Shanthiprakash spoke emotionally & remembered his journey in his long career, thanking all former & present colleagues, & as a token of appreciation, handed gifts to the cleaning & sanitary staff of the College on the occasion. The College & management places on record his distinguished service & work ethic, wishing him a very happy & joyous retired life, filled with health & prosperity.
