Geographical Construction of Religion and Human Rights

The department of Political Science organized a seminar on ‘Geographical Construction of Religion and Human Rights’, to commemorate ‘Human Rights Day’ on 10th December 2019.  Rev (Dr) Joachim Andrade Professor at Pontifical Catholic University of Parana at Curitiba Brazil was the resource person.  Prof. Satheeshchandra, Principal, SDM College, Ujire presided over the function.  Dr. Shalip presented the introductory remarks.  Nearly 200 students were the beneficiaries.

It was emphasized that the geography influences the way in which religion is expressed on the earth and its social, cultural and environmental aspects.  The more religious the people are the deeper the consideration for Human rights was the highlight of the seminar.
