Dr. T. Mallikarjunappa, Professor at Nitte’s Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, urged postgraduate students to focus on publishing research articles. He was speaking at the inauguration of a two-day workshop on “Techniques for Writing Publishable Research Papers” organized by the Research and Development Unit of SDM College’s Postgraduate Centre.
Dr. Mallikarjunappa emphasized the importance of publishing research work to enhance academic and professional growth, encouraging students to actively engage in scholarly writing.
Presiding over the event, SDM College Principal Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde highlighted the institution’s commitment to promoting creative research. He announced that the financial assistance previously provided as "seed money" for faculty research has now been extended to student researchers from the current academic year.
The workshop witnessed the participation of the Dean of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Vishwanath P., and program coordinators Dr. Lakshminarayana K.S. and Dr. Narayana Hebbar. Dr. Soumya B.P., Director of the Research and Development Unit, coordinated the program and ensured its smooth execution. The workshop was designed to equip students with the skills necessary for producing high-quality research papers suitable for publication.
