The IQAC and Faculty Development Committee of the College jointly organized an orientation on National Education Policy – 2020 at Seminar Hall, Post Graduate Centre on 15th February 2021 at 10 a.m.
Dr. B. Yashovarma, Secretary, SDM Educational Society was the resource person. Addressing all the faculty of Undergraduate and Post-graduate studies, Dr. B. Yashovarma gave the comprehensive picture of NEP- 2020. The role of higher education institutions, the structure of primary, middle level and higher education, the courses, outcome, and the skill oriented courses were discussed in the orientation. He also put forward the idea of how our institution has to plan the curriculum. The Principal, Dr. S. Satheeshchandra, welcomed the gathering and briefed about the importance of orientation. Dr. Vishwanatha P., Dean, PG Studies proposed vote of thanks.
In the second session, Mrs. Prarthana, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Biotechnology and Dr. Maruthi K. R., Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology conducted an orientation on Research tools, which was highly useful for the young researchers. G. R. Bhat, Associate Professor, Department of English coordinated the programme along with Dr. Shankarnarayana, IQAC Coordinator and Prof. S. N. Kakathkar, NIRF Coordinator. (21925)
