SDM College in association with Ninasam Heggodu organized a two day workshop on 6th and 7th of December titled ‘Vishwa Sahitya Pravesha’. This workshop was the 22nd of the series. Prof. TP Ashoka inaugurated the event. The Principal of the college, Prof. Sateeshchandra presided over the event. Shri Manohar Salimath, popular thinker from Bengaluru and Dr. B Nithyananda Shetty, HOD of Kannada Department of Tumkur University were the resource persons for the workshop.
Prof. TP Ashoka, in his inaugural address, analyzed popular books of world literature. Dr. B Nithyananda Shetty addressed the concepts of old Kannada literature. Manohar Salimath discussed English art movies at the workshop post their screening. Over 75 students from SDM, as well as neighboring colleges took part in the workshop.
