We are deeply saddened by the passing away of Dr Na Vajrakumar, Vice President, SDM Educational Society and Secretary, Janata Shikshana Samithi, Dharwad. Dr Vajrakumar was instrumental in providing a dynamic shape to the academic map of Dharwad and establishing a solid link between Dharmasthala and Dharwad. His progressive approaches established Engineering, Medical and Dental colleges and Hospitals in Dharwad. Hailing from Suralu, Udupi, Dr Vajrakumar was meticulous in planning, practical approaches and a taskmaster in completing the work in time. SDM Educational Society lost one of the most incredible gems in the form of Dr Vajrakumar and expressed its deepest condolences in a programme arranged at SDM College seminar hall. Dr A Jayakumara Shetty, Vice Principal of the college, spoke on occasion. Dr P N Udayachandra, Principal, Registrars, Deans, and staff members of the college were present.
