Child Rights workshop by department of MSW

Sri DharmasthalaManjunatheshwara College (Autonomous), Ujire, Department of PG Studies in Social Work had organized a two day training program on Child Rights – A Dream to Reality on 18th and 19th February 2022.

Ms Pratheeksha Jain and team, the students of I MSW, invoked the blessings of god. Dr.Dhaneshwari, Assistant Professor & the Programme Co-ordinator, Department of PG Studies in Social Work welcomed the guests and gathering.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr Satheeshchandra S, Deputy Secretary, SDM Educational Society, Ujire by lighting the lamp followed by inaugural address. Sir addressed on the importance of safeguarding child rights in the society.

The resource person Dr.Vasudeva Sharma, Executive Director Child Rights Trust Bangalore, gave brief introduction about the workshop and revealed that Mr.Koushik, Ms.Amrutha and  Mr.Vishwas, Field Coordinators, Child Rights Trust, Bangalore would enlighten the Social Work trainees about the rights of children and role of Social Workers in protecting childrights. Dr.Vishwanatha P, Dean SDM PG Studies gave the presidential address. Ms Seema Hegde, the student of I MSW was the Master of Ceremony. Dr.Chitra B C, Assistant Professor, PG Studies in Social Work, SDM College, Ujire rendered the vote of thanks.
