Innovations in Chemistry: Materials and Medicines for Sustainable Society (ICMMSS–2025)
Date: 8, 9 & 10 October 2025
Venue: Indraprastha Auditorium, SDM College, Ujire
The Department of PG Studies and Research in Chemistry was established in 2008 and it is supported by DST-FIST Govt. of India, VGST K-FIST Govt. of Karnataka. The department, with its most conducive academic environment and learner-centric approach, aims at providing an opportunity for two Post Graduate programs (MSc Chemistry & MSc Organic Chemistry) with fine infrastructure, superior academic environment and student-friendly attitude. The department is actively involved in research and offers PhD program through SDM Research Centre affiliated to Mangalore University. Intellectual capital of the department is reflected in US patents, Australian patent and several publications emanated from faculty and students. The department provides research exposure to the students for their project work at premier institutions/industries and also encourages paper publications and presentation in conferences. The department also emphasizes on the employability by organizing student-industry interactions, pre-placement training, interview simulation, industrial visit and campus recruitment.
The International Conference on Innovations in Chemistry: Materials and Medicines for Sustainable Society (ICMMSS–2025) serves as a pivotal platform for researchers, academicians, industry delegates and students to convene and engage in transformative ideas that bridge the field of basic chemical research and practical applications. As we gather to explore the frontiers of chemical science, we acknowledge the profound impact that innovations in chemistry can have on creating sustainable solutions for society. From the design of novel materials that reduce environmental footprints to the discovery of new medicinal compounds, the contributions of chemistry are integral to addressing global challenges such as climate change, public health crises, and resource scarcity. As we embark on this journey from molecules to materials and medicines, we aspire to inspire new ideas and forge partnerships that will lead to a better, more sustainable world for generations to come.
