A workshop on ‘AI in Classroom and Research’ was organised by the Department of Biotechnology, SDM College, Ujire, to equip students with practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applications in academics and research.
Dr. Ravinandan B.B., Head of the Department of Journalism, St. Joseph’s University, Bengaluru, served as the resource person. He provided hands-on training to participants and demonstrated how AI tools can be effectively used to enhance learning, streamline research, and improve productivity.
Around 45 students from the Biotechnology department took part in the workshop, gaining exposure to various AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and NotebookLM.
Head of the Department, Abhijeeth S. Badiger, along with faculty members Deekshith Rai P., Dr. Shrisha Naik Bajpe, and Arpana, were present during the session. The workshop received positive feedback for its practical approach and relevance to modern academic needs.
