Department of Chemistry organized field visit to II.B.Sc students to Dharmasthala on 26th January 2026. Mr.Pradeep , Manager of Sewage Water Treatment plant efficiently explained the process of purification of domestic and industrial waste water which after purification can be safely released to the environment or reused. Mr.Manoj described the making of sewage vermicompost. He explained that vermicomposting is done with treated sewage sludge, with the help of earth worms that is turn into stabilized sewage sludge. Students also visited the preparation of section of Annapoorna and stock room of the same. The students also visited the “Jamaugrana” of Dharmasthla. Mr Siddarth, manager of Jamaugrana communicated the traditional system of grain storage and its importance in rural and agricultural life. It really helped the students to gain practical knowledge about food storage and Management.
About 50 students were actively took part in the field visit.
