The Department of Retail and Supply Chain Management, in association with the Incubation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (PG), organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme and UDHBHAVA 2K26 – Student Product Exhibition and Sale for B.Voc and PG students at SDM College, Ujire on 12 August 2026. Around 150 students participated in the programme.
Mr Puneeth Rai, CEO, Atal Incubation Centre, Nitte, was the Chief Guest and inaugurated UDHBHAVA 2K26. He interacted with students and shared insights on the importance of incubation centres and how students can benefit from incubation support to develop their ideas into viable entrepreneurial ventures.
The exhibition featured a wide range of student-developed products, including bathing soaps, handwash, perfumes, hair oils, rose water, hair serum, facial creams, jewellery, accessories, key chains, bouquets, customised T-shirts, beverages such as dragon fruit juice and coconut milkshake, eco-friendly products, Kunafa cakes, sambar powder, chutney powder and many more. Students showcased their products with creative packaging, branding and promotional strategies, and explained their features and benefits to customers.
Prof. Vishwanatha P, Principal, SDM College, Ujire, in his presidential remarks appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to actively participate in entrepreneurship activities. Dr Shashiprabha, Coordinator, Incubation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (PG); briefed about the upcoming activities under the ED Cell. Ms.Madhuri Gowda, Coordinator of Udhbhava, Assistant Professor, Department of Retail and Supply Chain Management; gave insights of the Udhbhava event. Dr Sowmya B P, Dean, SDM PG Centre, Ujire; Mr Ashwith H R, Head, Department of Retail and Supply Chain Management; Dr Suveer Jain, B.Voc Course Coordinator; Mr Praveena D, Event Coordinator; Mr Pradeep K, Member; Dr Shashank B S, along with the other faculty members grace the programme.
