The Department of PG studies & Research in Psychology organised Two- day National conference on “Promoting Human Rights in Mental Health Care: Approaches, Opportunities and Challenges”, Psycho-vision Fest at SDM PG Centre, Ujire on 11th & 12th December 2025. On 11th December 2025, the programme was inaugurated by Dr Sateeshchandra. S, Secretary, SDME Society, Ujire and Keynote address was delivered by Dr Tharanatha Shetty, Principal, SDM Law College, Mangalore. The inauguration also witnessed the release of “Belli Hejjeya Manolari” and “Mega Mind, Where Hope Lives”. The conference also included two technical sessions by Prof. Soyuz John, Dept of Psychiatric social work, MAHE, Manipal and Dr Shanmukhi, Consultant clinical psychologist, Hyderabad. The Psycho-vision fest hosted various events for two days along with paper presentations. The two day programme benefited 224 participants online and offline, including the participants from Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Cambodia.
