“Entrepreneurship plays a pivotal role in the nation’s progress, and students should focus on self-employment and entrepreneurial ventures,” said K. Karunakar Jain, Senior Faculty at RUDSET Institute, Ujire.
He was addressing commerce students during a guest lecture on “Entrepreneurship as a Career” organized by the Department of Commerce in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Autonomous College.
Highlighting the significant contribution of entrepreneurs to the country’s GDP, Mr. Jain pointed out that many students, after completing their education, continue to search for jobs rather than exploring entrepreneurial opportunities. “By focusing on entrepreneurship, students can contribute to the nation’s economic growth,” he remarked.
Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, Principal of the college, presided over the event. He commended RUDSET Institute for its achievements and emphasized the importance of workshops and guest lectures in shaping students’ futures. He encouraged students to imbibe the lessons from such programs and work towards clear goals for a successful career.
Dr. Ratnavathi K., Head of the Commerce Department, along with faculty members and students, attended the event. Dr. Lakshminarayana K.S., program coordinator, welcomed the gathering and introduced the speaker. Dr. Bhanuprakash B.E., another coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.
