The students of economics should continue to strengthen the country’s economy by increasing their knowledge and skills by engaging in extra-curricular activities, said Executive Director of SDM Educational Institutions Harish M.Y.
Recently he spoke at the launch of the activities of the new academic year of the Economics Association of the SDM College.
Economics is full of opportunities. He hoped that the students would acquire knowledge, skills, get jobs in the field and contribute to the economy of the country during their studies.
The head of the college’s economics department, Dr. Jayakumar Shetty, “In today’s competitive world, students should focus on developing contemporary skills to exploit market opportunities. They should always be the property of their parents and country,” he said.
On this occasion, the guests and student leaders unveiled the ‘Arthaprabha’ poster made by the final year students.
Assistant professor of the department Dr. Ganaraj K., Dr. Mahesh Shetty, Abhinandan Jain and student coordinators, Sindhu Hegde and Shravan Upadhyaya were present on the stage.
