UGC has chosen SDM College Ujire to administer professional courses in three educational streams from this academic year. This information was presented to the media by the Principal of the College Prof. Sateeshchandra, at a press meet held on 06 August.
SDM College Ujire is one of the 18 colleges which have received permission from the UGC to run these courses. There will be three B.Voc courses under the streams of Journalism, Computer Science and Commerce in the college, named ‘Film making’ , ‘Retail and Supply Chain Management’ and ‘Software and App Development’ respectively.
These courses being professional in nature, shall constitute 25% of theoretic classes and 75% practical exposure. A number of MoUs have already been signed by the institution with esteemed industries that can assist in this regard. Interested students can contact Mr. Suveer Jain on 9880088705.
