Dr. Ravindra Vikram Singh, Director and Head of the Technical and Research Division at Sigma-Aldrich, Bengaluru, highlighted the impact of ongoing research in the field of chemistry on global health. Speaking during an interactive session with chemistry students at SDM Postgraduate Center on September 12, he noted that rapid advancements in chemical research are bringing about significant changes in global healthcare.
Dr. Singh emphasized that post-COVID, the pharmaceutical sector has seen continuous experimentation and innovation. He encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities available in research, stating that this would secure their future in the job market. He also outlined the vast potential for students in research, medical, education, and scientific fields.
He further remarked that chemistry has made invaluable contributions to mankind, particularly in the discovery of medicines for various global diseases, underscoring the critical role of scientists in this endeavor.
