NIPM student chapter inaugurated at SDM PG Centre

The human capacity for understanding and the power of deep knowledge cannot be surpassed by any technological advancements, including artificial intelligence, opined Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, Principal of SDM Autonomous College, Ujire. He was speaking after inaugurating the NIPM student chapter at SDM PG Centre here on Monday. The event was organized in collaboration with the Department of Post Graduate Studies in Social Work and Research and the Mangalore Chapter of the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM).

Dr. Hegde said that while artificial intelligence is creating a stir by impacting human workspaces, it cannot surpass the special human abilities of emotional intelligence and morale. Deep knowledge gained through continuous reading and the ability to develop understanding set humans apart. He added that this ability to develop strength that can surpass technology is what makes human potential unique. Dr. Lakshmish Rai, Secretary of the Mangalore NIPM student chapter, presented the vision for the establishment of the chapter.

Dr. Ronald Sequera, Managing Director of VRAS Solutions, and Dr. Vishwanath P., Dean of SDM PG Centre, were present on the occasion. Dr. Ravishankar K.R., Head of the Department of Social Work and Research, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Atul S. Semi, Assistant Professor in the department, proposed the vote of thanks, and student Amrutha C.S. compered the program.
