Ujire: The Department of Botany, SDM College, Ujire, organized a science outreach programme titled “Lab in Cab” at SDM English Medium High School, Belthangady, on October 23. The initiative aimed to promote scientific awareness among school students.
As part of the programme, practical demonstrations on topics such as the internal structure of monocot and dicot plant stems and plant transpiration were conducted for students of Classes 8 and 9, helping them understand key botanical concepts through hands-on learning.
The programme was coordinated by Assistant Professors Abhilash K. S., Bhavya D. Nayak, and Megha, along with lab assistant Sundar and students Sireesha Shastri and Preethi.
School teachers Nayana and Preethi extended their support to the event.
