Ujire, December 6: An interaction with a Multidisciplinary researcher Dr. Nonappa, Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Tampere University, Finland, was held here at SDM Post Graduate Center on 5 December. The programme was organized by the Department of PG Studies and Research in Chemistry. Dr. Nonappa motivated the students with his talk about his experiences and his pathway toward success in the field of his research. He inspired students and informed them about how he managed to grow in his field of interest despite his poor financial background. He said, “Chemistry is the center of all science. There are many fellowships available to carry out Research within India and abroad. Students should make use of it for higher studies”.
Dean of SDM PG Center and Head of the Department Dr. Vishwanatha P. expressed gratitude toward Dr. Nonappa for sharing his experience. Dr Shashiprabha, Assistant Professor and Secretary of CONCHEM (Departmental Association), and other faculty members of the department were present. Amitha from II MSc Organic Chemistry welcomed the gathering. Spoorti R of II MSc Organic Chemistry conveyed a Vote of thanks.
