The Final Year students of the Department of B.Voc in Retail and Supply Chain Management, SDM College Ujire, undertook an industrial visit to New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) and Mangalore Dairy, Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), Mangalore on 21 July 2026.
During the visit to NMPA, the students gained valuable insights into export and import policies and the functioning of port operations. The visit provided them with practical exposure to various aspects of international trade and logistics.
At Mangalore Dairy, the students observed the complete production process of milk and milk-based products such as butter, ghee, and various Nandini sweet items. The visit helped them understand the processing, packaging, and quality control measures followed in the dairy industry.
A total of 34 students participated in the industrial visit. Mr. Praveena D and Ms. Madhuri Gowda coordinated the programme and accompanied the students during the visit.
