Students have to focus on competitive exams during their under graduate and post graduate studies and must be ambitious to achieve success in availing high posts, said, Ms. Soumya M Bapat, Assistant Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Bengaluru.
She was addressing as a guest of honor at the prize distribution ceremony held on 06 June 2023, a part of Annual Day celebration of SDM College (Autonomous), Ujire. Speaking on the occasion she opined that students must have a strong will to face competitive exams like KAS, IAS etc. and this connection, they have to undertake pre-preparations and trainings. Such competitive exams not only judge the writing skills of the candidate but also different dimensions of integrity in personality. Persistence and patience are of two important tools to handle uncertainty in opportunities and to achieve integrated personality, she added. She distributed prizes to the achievers of different curricular and extra-curricular competitions.
Presiding over the programme, the principal Dr. B. A. Kumara Hegde said that students should inculcate soft skills in them and must step forward for higher achievements with skillful actions based on their intellectual ability.
Post graduate student representatives Ms. Sowjanya Sheety, Ms. Dhanyashree B G and Under graduate student representatives Mr. Shravan Kumar, Ms. Rajeshwari Nejikar, Mr. Nithesh and Vice Principal, Registrars, Deans, Faculty members and students were present.
