Develop a research based approach – Ashwath Hegde
“Science is not just for learning. Students must develop a research based approach because there are a number of opportunities in the field. The kind of rot learning habit that we have must change” said Ashwath Hegde, the founder of Envigreen, at the inaugural of Exhuberanza 19, an inter-collegiate fest organized by the Biotech and Botany departments of SDM College Ujire on the 7th of September.
“The government encourages nature friendly innovations today as such initiatives are the need of the hour. Students must implement their learning and innovate novel aspects that will contribute towards enhancement of greenery,” he added.
The Secretary of SDME Society, Dr. B Yashovarma said “Research has a captivating quality. Once an inquisitive mind ventures into it, he never wants to come back. May there be more inquisitive minds directed towards research.” The efforts and success of ISRO scientists on Chandrayan 2 were also commended at the occasion.
The Principal of the college Prof. Sateeshchandra, coordinator of the event Shakuntala B, student coordinator Rajaram P and Prajvit Rai were present.
