“The proper use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) while maintaining a balance with ethical and social values is crucial for holistic economic development,” said Dr. Ramesh Salian, Professor of Economics at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
Dr. Salian was the keynote speaker at a guest lecture on “Creator Economy and Artificial Intelligence: Towards Economic Development” organized jointly by the Economics and Rural Development Department and the Postgraduate Social Work Department of SDM Postgraduate Center on December 14. Dr. Gnanaraj K., Head of the Economics and Rural Development Department, welcomed the gathering, emphasizing the relevance of the topic in the modern economic landscape.
Dr. Ravishankar K.R., Head of the Social Work Department, proposed the vote of thanks, appreciating the insightful session. The program was hosted by Tejaswini Kotian, a second-year Social Work student.
