“The world is witnessing a decline in peace, with international conflicts leading to significant human rights violations,” said Prof. Alexandru Balas, Director of the Clark Center for Global Engagement and Coordinator of the International Studies Program at the State University of New York, Cortland.
He was speaking as the chief guest at an international webinar on “Contemporary Major International Conflicts” organized by the Department of Political Science at SDM College, Ujire, on December 13. The webinar saw active participation from faculty and students of SDM College, along with Dr. Rose Veera D’Souza, Dean of St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, and her students.
Nataraj H.K., Lecturer from the Political Science Department at SDM College, introduced the guest. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Lecturer Bhagyashree. Dr. Shaleep A.P., Head of the Political Science Department and Registrar of Administration at SDM College, anchored the program.
