Dr. P.L. Dharm, the Vice-Chancellor of Mangalore University, expressed the need for greater dedication from students in restoring the ethos of harmony and cultural resurgence, which India eagerly anticipates from its youth. Speaking at the annual day function of SDM College, Ujire, on March 30.
Dr. Harshendra Kumar and Dr. Sathishchandra S., Secretaries of SDM Educational Institutions, along with student representatives Prateeksha, K. Kiran, Aditya, Anushree S., Sanat, and Chidvilas A.S., were present. Distinguished professors, educators recognized for their contributions in the field of education and research, and students achieving academic excellence and excelling in sports and cultural activities were honoured with certificates. The latest edition of the practical magazine ‘Chiguru’ from the Journalism department was released.
Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, the college’s principal, welcomed the gathering, while the vice-principal, Shashishekhar N. Kakatkar, offered felicitations. Dr. Sreedhar Bhatt, head of the Sanskrit department, conducted the program, which included cultural performances by the students. The cultural program was organized by the students.
