The Research & Development Cell organized a Workshop on “Research Proposal Writing” 9 October, 2023 at Seminar Hall-1 (PG Centre). About 70 faculty members and 50 first year Post graduate students attended the workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. T. S. Keshava Prasad, Professor & Deputy Director, Centre for System Biology & Molecular Medicine, Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya University. He emphasized on maximum utilization of resources & opportunities, thus creating good research ambiance. The president of the programme was Dr. B. A. Kumara Hegde, Principal, SDMC, Ujire. In his presidential remark he stated the importance of research, grant writing in higher education in relevance to the involvement of faculty members in research. Updating and upgrading the knowledge is the need of hour. So one has to cope up with difficult situation ensuring survival of the fittest so as to struggle for existence. The programme was graced by Dr. Vishwanatha P., Dean, PG Studies, Dr. Sowmya B.P., Director of R&D Cell and Dr. Prarthana J., Convener of the Workshop were also present on the dais. Dr. Sowmya B.P. welcomed the gathering and introduced the guest. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Prarthana J. Ms. Laxmi V Patil of II M.Sc. Chemistry was master of ceremony.
