Research committee of the College in association with IQAC (PARAMARSH Scheme) organized a webinar on “Prior art search engines, Patent structure and Claim drafting” on 26 June 2021. Dr. Alok V. Kulshreshtha, Senior Manager, Intellectual Property Management, Glenmark Pharmaceutical Ltd., Mumbai was the resource person. He spoke on the types of Intellectual properties, significance of IP at universities, basic patentability requirements and procedure of patent filing.
He explained about what do be done before filing the patent applications and how to check the innovation. He also briefed about provisional application and pros and cons of provisional specification. He emphasized on Prior art search, drafting a patent provisional specification, description and claims.
Dr. Satheeshchanda S, Principal of College had given introductory talk on importance of Research and Patent filing. Dr. Sowmya B P, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry welcomed the gathering. Dr. Shashiprabha, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry and Webinar coordinator, introduced the guest to the audience. Ms. Nefisath P., Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry mastered of ceremony and proposed vote of thanks. About 110 delegates from various institutions were benefitted by the talk.
