The Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Social Work, in collaboration with Magic Bus India Foundation and Reliance India Foundation, organized a three-day training program titled “Employability Excellence: Career Ace” from June 9 to 11, 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance employability skills among postgraduate students from diverse academic backgrounds including M.Sc. Statistics, Psychology, Journalism, Social Work, M.Com., English, Biotechnology, and Physics.
Inaugural Ceremony
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Anil Kumar S.S., CEO, SKDRDP BC Trust, Dharmasthala, who served as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was also graced by Mr. Dhavan, CSR Project Manager at Magic Bus Foundation, and Prof. Vishwanatha P., President of SDM College, Ujire.
Workshop Highlights
Day 1: Self-Awareness and Goal Setting
Participants engaged in reflective activities to understand their strengths, interests, and career aspirations.
Day 2: Communication and Interview Readiness
The sessions focused on communication skills, interview etiquette, professional behavior, and group discussion techniques.
Day 3: Practical Activities and Placement Insights
Students participated in hands-on group tasks and gained valuable insights into placement procedures and recruiter expectations.
